Infrastructure for Play.

The public layer between people and sport.

Turulo is building a network of self-service smart equipment lockers — so anyone can grab a ball, paddle, or set and play, anytime. No staff. No reservation. No friction.

Launching across Dallas and Mexico City.

The Problem

Recreation should be public infrastructure. Today, it isn't.

Most parks, campuses, and communities lack accessible equipment for spontaneous recreation. Traditional rental systems demand staff, paperwork, and limited hours — friction that quietly excludes the people who would benefit most from playing.

Communities are full of people who would play if it were easy. Turulo makes it easy.

The Product

A smart locker. A connected platform. A new kind of public utility.

Turulo lockers are weather-resilient, app-controlled, and configured to the equipment your community plays with most. A user scans a QR code, pays through the mobile web app, takes the equipment, plays, and returns it.

No app download. No staff. No reservation system. The entire rental flow takes under a minute.

Built for the spaces communities actually use — outdoor courts, parks, campus quads, pool decks, residential common areas, hotel beachfronts.

The Vision

The public library, for sport.

A century ago, communities decided that books should be free, accessible, and everywhere. Libraries became civic infrastructure — not a luxury, a baseline.

Turulo is building the same thing for sport.

Our long-term vision is a network of equipment lockers funded by sponsors and civic partners, where anyone — regardless of income, planning, or membership — can pick up a basketball, a paddle, or a soccer ball and play. No payment, no friction, no excuses.

We start with paid rentals to prove the model. We grow into free public access. That is the work.

Built For

Anywhere people gather to play.

Turulo is designed to deploy wherever there is space, demand, and a partner who wants to activate it. Cities, schools, private operators — every deployment becomes part of the same connected network.

  • Cities & Public Parks

Activate underused public space. Modernize recreation infrastructure with no operational burden on city staff.

  • Universities & Colleges

Replace manual gear rooms with 24/7 self-service. Custom branding keeps the experience on-brand for your institution.

  • K–12 Schools

After-school and weekend equipment access for students and families. A safe, monitored amenity that extends school grounds into the community.

  • Hotels & Resorts

Five-star recreational amenity at the pool deck, beach, or court — with no operational complexity for your team.

  • Residential & HOA Communities

A standout amenity that increases property value and resident satisfaction. Turn shared spaces into active lifestyle destinations.

  • Private Parks & Sports Facilities

Add equipment access without adding staff. Generate incremental revenue from existing footfall.

Built AI-Native

AI isn't a feature. It's how we run the company.

Most equipment rental operators scale by hiring. Turulo scales by building intelligent operations into every layer of the business — from the moment a partner reaches out, to the moment a renter closes a locker door.

  • Bilingual support, 24/7

AI triages and resolves user issues in English and Spanish around the clock. Most are handled without human intervention. Edge cases escalate to a real person with full context.

  • Predictive locker health monitoring

Every locker continuously reports its status. AI flags anomalies — stuck doors, missed heartbeats, sensor drift — before they become outages. Partners are alerted automatically.

  • Automated partner reporting

Weekly performance reports per location — sessions, revenue, utilization, equipment status — generated and delivered every Monday morning. No dashboards to log into.

  • Smart inventory optimization

Pattern recognition shows which equipment is moving at which times. Restocking decisions match real demand instead of guesswork.

  • AI-augmented operations

A small operating team augmented by AI handles outreach, support, reporting, and partner onboarding. The result: lower per-deployment cost, faster response times, and a network that scales without bloat.

This is why Turulo can launch across two countries simultaneously with a small team — and why partners get a higher level of attention than they would from any legacy operator.

Hardware

Built for outdoor environments and high-traffic public spaces.

Turulo lockers combine durable construction with intelligent software for low-maintenance deployment.

  • Weather-resilient enclosure
  • Smart electronic locks
  • IoT connectivity for remote management
  • Modular compartment configuration
  • Custom partner branding

Equipment, configured per location.

Stock what your community plays. Standard loadout includes:

  • Basketballs · Soccer balls · Volleyballs
  • Pickleball sets
  • Resistance bands · Jump ropes · Agility cones
  • Yoga blocks · Hand grippers · Foam balls
  • Compact training kits

Equipment mix is fully configurable per deployment.

Turulo SUP

A dedicated locker for waterfront properties.

Beyond the standard locker, Turulo offers a larger-format unit purpose-built for paddle boards — designed for resorts, lakeside parks, hotel beachfronts, and waterfront residential communities.

Business Models

Three ways to partner with Turulo.

Choose the structure that fits your organization.

  • Revenue Share

Turulo installs and operates the system. Partners share in revenue from every rental. No upfront investment. Best for cities, parks, and partners who want zero operational burden.

  • Fixed Lease

Predictable monthly fee. Partner retains all rental revenue. Best for high-traffic locations and operators who want full revenue ownership.

  • Sponsor-Funded Free Access

Brand sponsors fund free public use of equipment. Logo and brand presence on the locker. Best for high-visibility locations where free access creates community impact and brand affinity.

We are actively building sponsor partnerships with leading sports and lifestyle brands. Brand inquiries welcome.

Deployment

Coordinated end to end.

Turulo handles the rollout from site evaluation to ongoing support.

  1. 01

    Site Selection

We evaluate traffic, layout, and community needs to identify optimal placement.

  2. 02

    Installation

Professional installation by Turulo's deployment team. Typically completed in under a day.

  3. 03

    Equipment Setup

Customized equipment mix loaded, inventoried, and registered in the platform.

  4. 04

    Activation

Partner dashboard goes live. QR codes activated. Payments enabled.

  5. 05

    Ongoing Support

Remote monitoring, AI-driven alerts, and coordinated maintenance. Minimal burden on your team.

Why Now

The category is forming. The window is short.

Three forces are converging: the global active-lifestyle movement, the modernization of civic infrastructure, and the consumer shift to contactless, self-service experiences.

European and Canadian operators have proven the smart-equipment-locker model works. The United States and Latin America are wide open. The companies that build network density and trusted partnerships in the next eighteen months will define the category.

Turulo is moving now — fully bilingual from day one, AI-native by architecture, and built across two markets simultaneously.

Where We're Going

Launching simultaneously in Dallas and Mexico City.

Dallas

Built By

A team that lived the problem.

  • Mara Sophia Pardo

    Co-Founder

A multi-sport athlete with a competitive background in tennis and active experience across basketball, pickleball, soccer, and volleyball. Mara's years in community service work — helping under-resourced communities access opportunities most people take for granted — shaped her conviction that recreation is one of the most overlooked forms of public access. She brings the lived perspective of the user Turulo is built to serve.

  • Karim Mafud Malpica

    Co-Founder

A practicing attorney in Mexico with deep institutional relationships across the country, Karim has structured partnerships with leading enterprises on security and transportation infrastructure projects. He grew up playing sports daily in the public parks of one of Mexico's most underserved regions — an experience that defined his understanding of how access to recreation shapes communities. Karim leads Turulo's legal architecture and partnership strategy across Latin America.

  • Roberto Pardo III

    Co-Founder

A graduate of Texas A&M in Business, with a master's in Microfinance from Universidad de Alcalá in Spain, Roberto has worked across the financial sector and most recently in data, automation, and AI integration — the foundation of Turulo's operational layer. His formative years in Pachuca's youth football academy gave him a firsthand view of how transformative sport can be for families, and how thin the line is between access and exclusion. That experience drives Turulo's mission to make recreational infrastructure a public good, not a private privilege.

About Turulo

Make recreation accessible everywhere.

Turulo is building a new layer of sports equipment infrastructure — connected, self-service lockers that bring spontaneous recreation to the spaces communities already use.

We are pre-launch and actively building Founding Partnerships across the United States and Mexico. Our ambition is not to sell more lockers than anyone else. It is to make sport an everyday public utility — the way libraries made reading one.

From a neighborhood park in Dallas to a university quad in Mexico City, Turulo is being built as the backbone of a more active world.

Bring Turulo to your location.

Whether you operate a city park, a campus, a hotel, a residential community, or a private sports facility — Turulo has a deployment model designed for you.
